 Some of the key points to be remembered regarding the pattern of CAT 2017 examination are:

  • CAT exam tests the candidate based on the following sections - Quantitative Ability, Verbal and Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
  • As per the CAT exam pattern, the candidate is not allowed to switch between the sections
  • The candidate will be automatically moved to another section after completing 60 minutes on the previous section.
  • There is no negative marking for an incorrect attempt at the non-MCQ question. 
  • There is an option of an on-screen calculator in Quant & LR-DI section which can be used by the candidate for the calculations during the exam.
