Though their speeds are different each scooters travels at a constant speed. They both cross each other at a point 720 m from the nearer shore. Both scooters remain at their sides for 10 min before starting to return. On the return trip they pass each other at 400 m from the other shore. Find the width of the river.

A water bottling plant uses two machines i.e. P and Q to pack water bottles. Machine P and Q can pack 400 and 600 bottles of water per minute. It is known that total number of water bottles required in a day can be packed by machine P alone in 9 hours. If on a certain day machine P alone worked for one-third of the time and machine P and Q together worked for two-third of the time, out of the total time taken to meet the daily requirement of water bottles, then find the total time taken.

There are 3 pipes P1, P2, P3 attached to a tank. Each Pipe can be used to either fill or empty the tank and having its rate same in both operations. The Filling or emptying rate of these pipes are 3 : 4 : 5. When pipe P1 and P2 is opened, it took 3 hrs to fill the tank. In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd hours of operation the pipes P1, P2, P3 respectively used for emptying the tank, while the other two pipes are used as filling pipe. What approximate fraction of tank to be filled at the end of three hours?
