Students in huge number sit for this exam since SBI is not only the largest bank of the country and but also a part of Fortune 500 companies in the world (232nd position to be precise). Apart from that, the respect that the SBI PO Job profile commands and the perks offered make it a lucrative package.

Before we move further, let’s clear out the air about some major myths that the students have developed after the bank exams this year.

  • Yes, the level of exams has increased a lot but that doesn’t make them impossible to crack. Remember, that people who get through the final selection, they are no different than you, only difference lies in the preparation strategy, determination and discipline with which they prepare for these exams.
  • Yes, the pattern of questions asked has changed but again, that doesn’t mean that you can’t solve them then and there. Remember, the topics are still the same and so are their basics. You just need to approach these questions differently.
  • Yes, the more you study, the better it would be, but that doesn’t mean that you keep slogging on for hours.  Do give yourself breaks in between. Remember, rather than quantity, quality matters way more. Make sure that the time that you are spending on your studies is not distracted by any external factor.
  • Yes, all topics are relevant for exams but studying topics smartly will take you a long way. Pattern and Syllabus of SBI PO is slightly different from other bank exams (Data Analysis and Interpretation asked in Quantitative Aptitude). It is essential that you first identify which topics you are weak and strong at and then lay out your preparation strategy for the exam.

As already mentioned, there are various exams that you will come across this year.  Hence, now is the right time to pull up your socks and gear up for the same. Do not procrastinate any further. The cut throat competition in banking exams these days (especially SBI) requires a lot of preparation.
