MAT or Management Aptitude Test is a widely accepted test conducted by All India Management Association every year. This test is conducted four times in a year in the month of February, May, September and December. The test is both Computer-based and paper per based, wherein the candidate can choose his mode of test.
There are several colleges which offer recognized MBA programs and allied fields which participate in this exam. These colleges use the scores obtained by the candidates in this exam as their selection procedure. All B-schools that participate in MAT are either AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved or affiliated to universities. It is for the MBA aspirants to take MAT for admission into the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and equivalent MBA programs offered by participating MBA institutes.
