SSC MTS 2017: Educational Qualification
Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. Note: Candidates who have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01.08.2017 will also be eligible.
SSC MTS Exam 2017: Age Limit
18-25 years as on 01.08.2017 (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1999)
Important Point: Candidate should note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will only be accepted by the Commission for determining the Age- eligibility and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
SSC MTS Application Fees
Offline Payment Mode: Candidates opting for Offline payment mode will have to pay their Application Fees through State Bank of India Challan generated online. The requisite Application Fees is Rs 100. The Female Candidates and reserved category candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
Online Payment of Fees: Candidates can pay their Application Fees online through SBI net banking/credit/debit card. The Application Fees is Rs 100. The SC/ST/Female/PH Category aspirants are exempted from payment of their Application Fees
SSC MTS 2017 - Exam Pattern
The written examination will consist of (Paper-I) objective type paper and (Paper II) descriptive type as shown below.

The paper 1 of SSC MTS Exam is objective type. There are 100 questions asked in paper-1 for which Candidates gets 90 minutes. Questions will be based on following topics:
Point 1: Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. The Commission reserves the right to set the questions additionally in regional languages subject to technical feasibility.
Point 2: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
Point 3: Paper-II will be descriptive in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.
Point 4: :Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of recategorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.
SSC MTS Exam 2017 - Selection Process
Step I: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I.
Step II: Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.
Step III: Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.

- Physical maintenance of records of section.
- General cleanliness & upkeep of the Section/Unit.
- Carrying of files & other papers within the building.
- Photocopying, sending of FAX etc.
- Other non-clerical work in the Sections/Unit.
- Assisting in routine office work like diary, dispatch etc. including on computer.
- Delivering of Dak (inside & outside the building)
- Watch & ward duties.
- Opening & closing of rooms.
- Cleaning of rooms.
- Dusting of furniture etc.
- Cleaning of building, fixture etc.
- Work related to his ITI qualification, if it exists
- Driving of vehicles, if in possession of valid driving license
- Upkeep of parks, lawns, potted plants etc.
- Any other work assigned by superior authority.

Registration Part 1: In Part 1 Registration, candidates will have to áll basic information. After submitting all the details, candidates will be provided with Registration No. The candidates should note the registration No or take a print out of the page. With this the Part 1 Registration is complete
Registration Part 2: The Application procedure is incomplete without part II. The Part II Application Process includes Payment of Application Fees Uploading of Photograph and Signature.
