MAT 2018 Notification;Check Eligibility & other requirements!

MAT is a national level examination conducted to screen candidates for management and other allied programs. MAT is conducted four times a year, in the months of February, May, September, and December. MAT is a gateway to 600 B-Schools across India. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The validity of MAT score is for one year.

The dates for December 2018 MAT have been announced by the AIMA. The paper-based test is scheduled on 2nd December 2018. However, the computer-based test will start from 16th DEC 2018.

  • Paper Based Test (PBT) 
  • Computer Based Test (CBT)

Note: The date of Paper Based Test (PBT) coincides with that of IIFT entrance 2018 and the date of Computer Based Test (CBT) coincides with that of SNAP Test 2018. Hence, there is a good chance that the exam dates for MAT will be changed.  

MAT has 5 sections, each having forty questions. The total number questions is 200 and they are to be attempted in 150 minutes. The GK score is NOT accounted for in the overall scaled score of 200-800, GK score is reported separately. Thus, practically, the test has 4 sections (160 questions) to be done in 150 minutes.

Note: One does not need to do all the questions to get the maximum score (800), mostly at an attempt of around 105-110 (out of 160 questions which do not include GK) with 90% accuracy gives you 800.
