By Vineet Vijay|Updated : August 8th, 2018

AFCAT 2 2018 Written Exam is scheduled on 19th August 2018 and all the aspiring candidates must have prepared to give their best shot. But there may be candidates who couldn't prepare properly due to their college examinations or due to workload during the job for the working professionals.

So here we are providing some trick to grasp the important topics as the time is limited, so candidate should try to place their steps in the right direction  and prepare for the upcoming AFCAT Exam in these last few days:

Numerical Ability Section

AFCAT exam paper consists of very basic mathematics questions and keeping formulas in mind will help you to clear them easily.Topics which hold importance in this section are:

  • Average:
    • Average = (Sum of observations/Number of observations)
  • Percentage
    • a/b as a percent:  a/b = (a/b x 100)%
  • Ratio and Proportion
    • The multiplication or division of each term of a ratio by the same non-zero number does not affect the ratio.
    • If a: b = c : d, then a: b:: c : d and we say that a, b, c, d are in proportion.
    • Here a and d are called extremes, while b and c are called mean terms.
    • Product of means = Product of extremes. Thus, a : b :: c : d (b x c) = (a x d).
  • Simple Interest
    • If the interest on a sum borrowed for certain period is reckoned uniformly, then it is called simple interest.
    • Simple Interest = (P x R x T)/100
  • Simplification: Rule of ‘BODMAS’: This rule depicts the correct sequence in which the operations are to be executed, so as to find out the value of given expression.

General Awareness/Knowledge Section:

  • Browse the internet for the current year and previous year current affairs read and remember as much as possible
  • For topics such as History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Defence, Art, Culture, and Politics do not go through complete topics but focus on the highlights.

Spatial ability and English Sections:

  • These are the easy sections in AFCAT exam if the candidate is aware of the simple techniques and English knowledge.
  • For this try to opt for authentic books available along with previous year papers as more practice will improve and enhance solving techniques.

Note: Candidates should answer the maximum number of questions within a time interval, and to do so, candidates should opt for any test series available.
