There are various programmes offered by IIT Delhi for P.G Admissions. Detailed eligibility criteria and information of various programs are mentioned in the table given below:

- Ph.D. Details:
- For SC/ST/PH category students, a minimum performance in the qualifying degree with postgraduate qualifications is relaxed from 60% to 55% (6.00 to 5.50)
- In respect of M.A., M.Sc. and/or B. Tech. from IITs graduating with a CGPA of 8.0 or above, the requirement of qualification through a national examination is waived off.
- Students from CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc)) having CPI/ CGPA 7.00 (on a 10.00 scale) at the end of the 3rd year are also eligible for admission to Ph.D. The requirement of qualification through a national examination is waived off.
- Sponsored (full-time) candidates seeking admission to a Ph.D. program on the basis of study leave, must submit a “Sponsorship Certificate” on a proper letterhead.
- Part-time candidates are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) on a proper letterhead.
- M.Tech/M. S.(Research)/ M. Des Details:
- For Direct admission of SC/ST/PH category students, minimum performance in the qualifying degree is relaxed from 75% to 70% (7.50 to 7.00).
- For admission with an interview of SC/ST/PH category students, minimum performance in the qualifying degree is relaxed from 60% to 55% (6.00 to 5.50)
- For all B.Tech. from IITs graduating with a CGPA of 8.0 or above, the requirement of qualification through GATE is waived off.
- Sponsored (full-time) candidates seeking admission to an M.Tech./M.S.(R)/M.Des. program on the basis of study leave must submit a “Sponsorship certificate” on a proper letterhead.
- Part-time candidates are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” on a proper letterhead.
Application Procedure & Application Fee
- Submission of Application is only through online. Candidates are NOT required to send hard copy of the application form and bank challan.
- Online submission of the application form may be made by accessing the Institute website.
- Application fees
- General / OBC category : ₹200/-
- SC/ST/PH categories: ₹50/-.
- The bank charges will be borne by the candidate.
- Financial Assistance is available for FT Ph.D./M. Tech./M. Des./M.S. (R) Students as per details are given in the Information Brochure.
- SC/ST/PH students admitted to Postgraduate/Ph.D. Programs are exempted from payment of tuition fee.
