The preliminary exam for IBPS RRB Officer scale 1 and the office assistant was scheduled to start in August 2022.

The online application form will begin on 7th June 2022, 27 June is the last date for IBPS RRB to apply online in 2022.

IBPS RRB Notification 2022: Important Dates (Updated)

Here is the list of important dates for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I & Office Assistant Prelims & main exam 2022. 

IBPS RRB Vacancy 2022(UPDATED)

IBPS has released a total of 8106+ vacancies for IBPS RRB Office Assistant, IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I, Officer Scale-II, and Officer Scale-III in 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB 2022

Candidates applying for the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I & Office Assistant need to ensure their eligibility for the same based on 2 parameters. These are Age-based eligibility and Educational Qualification.

Age Limit for Office Assistant (Clerk)

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) -  candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1994 and later than 01.06.2004 (both dates inclusive) as of 1st June 2022.

Age Limit for Office scale-1 (PO)

For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1992 and later than 31.05.2004 (both dates inclusive) as of 1st June 2022.

Educational Qualifications (as of 27.06.2022)

• Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university or equivalent to this.
• He should be proficient in the local language or regional language.
• He must be aware of computer knowledge. Knowledge of computers will be an added advantage.
• Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy for IBPS RRB Officer scale-1.

IBPS RRB Selection Process 2022

The First 2 phases of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I/Office Assistant would comprise of following -

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Exam

The selection process for IBPS RRB Exam 2022 for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant will be different. While Interviews will be conducted for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I, the final merit list of IBPS RRB Office Assistant will be based on the marks obtained in the online Mains exam.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern (Prelims)

No changes in the exam pattern for IBPS RRB PO or clerk have been observed. The exam pattern for both posts is the same as last year. Check the exam pattern for IBPS RRB Clerk and IBPS RRB PO 2022.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Clerk) comprises two major sections i.e Numerical ability and Reasoning ability. Students will have only 45 minutes to complete the test. Speed and accuracy will play a major role in the prelims exam.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Exam Pattern 2022

After successfully clearing the IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam. Students will have to write the IBPS RRB clerk mains exam which will comprise 5 sections. A total of 2 hours will be given to the aspirants with no sectional timing in all. In the main examination, students can choose between Hindi or English as a subject.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-1 Exam Pattern (Prelims)

Prelims is the first phase in IBPS RRB Officer scale-1 (PO) exam. It is the entry pass to your mains examination. Prelims will be qualifying in nature. There will be 80 questions with two subjects only. Negative marking will also be there in the prelims exam.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-1 Exam Pattern (Mains)

Once you clear IBPS RRB PO prelims exam, you will be called for the mains examination. Here you will have a choice between Hindi and English language section. No sectional timing will be there. But you will have to maintain speed and accuracy as only 2 hours will be given.

Note: Candidates (for both posts) have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks. An adequate number of candidates in each category, depending upon requirements, will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

Candidates in both the post can opt for either 4(a) or 4(b).

Negative marking: There will be negative marking for every wrong question marked. 1/4th marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. If you are leaving a question blank, no marks will be deducted

Cut off Score: Each candidate will require to qualify overall cut off to be eligible for the final merit list. Prelims online test for both PO and Clerk will be qualifying in nature whereas, Marks obtained in mains examination will be considered for the final merit list.
