June 2017

  • On June 21, 2017, International Yoga Day was organized in India at Ramabai Maidan, Lucknow. 
  • On June 21, 2017, 72-member student group of City Montessori School, Lucknow participated in the Third International Yoga Day held in New York.
  • 20 new agricultural science centers will be set up in Uttar Pradesh.
  • The Chief Minister met the Japanese ambassador Kenji Hiramatsu in Lucknow.
  • Uttar Pradesh Government has set a target to make all the municipal bodies free from Open defecation by October 2, 2018.
  • Jagmohan Dalmiya Award (2015-16) for Best Female Cricketer awarded to Deepti Sharma.

May 2017 

  • U.P. The government changed the name of the Anti-Romeo Squad to the 'Women security force.
  • On 17th May, 2017, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released a magazine ‘Uttar Pradesh Message' 'Subaka Together - Sabka Vikas' published by Department of Information.
  • On May 16, 2017, Uttar Pradesh Goods and Service Tax Bill (GST) 2017 was passed in the Legislative Assembly.
  • It was decided to implement e-tendering and e-procurement system in government departments in the meeting of the Cabinet held on May 2, 2017.
  • 64th National Awards UP was awarded as the most film favorable state award.
  • the Council of Ministers made a decision to celebrate 24th of January as Uttar Pradesh Day.

April, 2017

  • On April 26, 2017, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a financial assistance of Rs 30 lakh to the family of the martyred Captain Ayush Yadav of Uttar Pradesh in an attack on Army camp in Kupwara.
  • From 21 April, 2017, the use of red and blue light in the state was completely prohibited for the purpose of eliminating VIP culture. This decision will not apply to essential services like Fire Brigade, Ambulance, Army and Police
  • Film 'Ek Thi Rani Aisi bhi' was declared entertainment tax free.
  • On April 18, 2017, Gorakhpur Civil Terminal was renamed as Mahayogi Gorakhnath Civil Terminal.
  • On April 18, 2017, Agra Civil Terminal was named Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Civil Terminal.
  • On April 18, 2017, the name of 'Department of Disabilities Development' was changed by 'Uttar Pradesh Government' to 'Divyajanjan Empowerment Department'.
  • Uttar Pradesh Government organized the 100th Digitization Fair on April 14, 2017 at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan, Lucknow.
  • The Uttar Pradesh government started the connecting 60 thousand public service centers of the state with Bhim App on April 14, 2017.
  • Uttar Pradesh government announced the construction of Bundelkhand-Delhi Expressway (6 lane). 
  • It was decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 55,00 in caste marriage and Rs 61,00 in inter-caste marriages for the marriage of up to two daughters of the workers registered under the daughters marriage grant scheme.
  • Insurance of unorganized workers will be done by Uttar Pradesh government under Deen Dayal Suraksha Bima Yojna. Under this scheme, in the financial year 2017-18, 5 lakh workers will soon provide insurance policy.
  • The amount of girl marriage grant has been increased from 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 by Uttar Pradesh government.
  • Power for the Alliance Agreement signed between the Government of India and the State Government for supply of 24 hour electricity in the state
  • Uttar Pradesh Government's objective is to provide 24-hour electricity to all consumers of the state by October, 2018.
  • Minimum support price of wheat has been fixed at Rs 1625 per quintal for Rabi corp Year 2017-18 by UP Government.
  • The target of minimum wheat procurement for the state has been increased from 40 lakh metric tonnes to 80 lakh metric tonnes in the year 2017-18 by the Uttar Pradesh government.

  • Uttar Pradesh Government has waived crop loan to small and marginal farmers till March 31, 2016. The maximum limit for crop loan waiver will be Rs. 1 lakh per farmer. This will benefit more than 86 lakh small and marginal farmers of the state 
  • Allahabad High Court celebrated its 150th anniversary in April, 2017.
  • The Panchayati Raj Conference was organized in Lucknow on April 24, 2017 by the Uttar Pradesh Government. On this occasion Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released 'Panchayati Raj' quarterly magazine 'Gramoday Sankalp' and launched the Mobile App Gramodaya Sankalp.
  • During the Panchayati Raj Conference, Chief Minister released two new books 'Health Development in Gram Panchayat' under the  Panchayat series.
  • Action plan was approved by the Uttar Pradesh government on 11th April, 2017 to resolve the problem of drinking water in the summer areas of rural areas of Bundelkhand.
  • Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released the book ‘राष्ट्रपुरुष चंद्रशेखर- संसद में दो टूक’ written on former PM Chandrasekhar Shekhar.
  • On the pcassion of 126th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambekar, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced to stop the holidays in the name of great men.
