IBPS RRB Main Exam 2020: Recently IBPS has released an official notification on its website. According to the notice, the IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistant Mains exam 2020 which were scheduled to held on 18th and 31st October 2020 respectively has been postponed. This is a blessing in disguise for the aspirants who have appeared in the IBPS RRB Prelims Exam, as they will have more time to prepare for the IBPS RRB PO and Clerk main exam 2020.

The syllabus of IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistant is almost similar. One can simultaneously prepare for both the exam. Following are the tips for preparing for the IBPS RRB Mains exam 2020.

  • Make sure that you have a clear idea of the previous year’s cutoff of IBPS RRB. This is essential because proper knowledge of the cutoff of last year will help you set your minimum target for the exam, both section-wise and overall exam.
  • Have a clear idea of the detailed exam pattern and syllabus of the exam. You should be well aware of the actual topics that will be asked in the exam and prepare them accordingly.
  • Section-wise time is not divided in this exam, rather a composite of 2 hours will be given to complete this exam. Make sure that you divide this time frame among all the sections properly beforehand.

  • Have a thorough practice of mock tests. Make sure that you attempt at least 1-2 mock tests daily now. Try to attempt these tests in the time frame mentioned above. This practice will definitely come in handy in the exam since you’ll be used to the time constraint of an individual section by then.
  • Apart from mock tests, try to practice as many topic-wise questions as possible. This will help you improve your speed in the exam, which will eventually maximise your score.
  • Remember, this phase is not merely qualifying in nature. The marks will be included in the final selection, and hence, you need to score a lot better as compared to the prelims phase. So. manage your time efficiently and take proper care of your speed in the exam.

Step 4
