FMS 2019-21 Notification is OUT; the last date for application is November 20

FMS is one of the oldest B- schools in India. Established under the patronage of the University of Delhi, it started in the premises of Delhi School of Economics. Later, the Faculty of Management Studies was established after abolishing the commerce department of Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). Quality education, with minimal fee structure and excellent placement opportunities make FMS, University of Delhi as one of the highest Return on Investment (RoI) B-schools of India.

Following are the programmes offered by FMS:

  • Master’s in Business Administration (Full Time)
  • Executive MBA (Evening program)
  • Executive in MBA in Healthcare Administration (Evening program)

Currently, for the 2019-21 batch, there are 200 seats in the MBA program.

 FMS Fee structure

 The fee at FMS is one of the most affordable and economical amongst all the major Business School in India. Following is the fee structure of FMS for 2019-21:

Procedure for selection:

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for MBA at FMS

There are 2 stages that a candidate goes through before getting selected for the MBA Programme;

  1. The first stage is appearing for the CAT conducted by the IIMs
  2. On clearing the required cut-offs and the composite score, a candidate is called for the second round which comprises Extempore, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (PI).

For the batch of 2019-21, the following procedure will be used to select candidates for the coveted MBA programme of FMS, University of Delhi:

Stage 1: Shortlisting of Candidates for Personal Interview

A composite score may be computed giving weightages of 30%, 30%, and 40% to the scores of QA, DI-LR and VARC sections respectively as provided by the CAT. An additional 3 marks may be added to the Composite Score so computed in case of women candidates for shortlisting.

Stage 2: Admission Merit List

For the shortlisted candidates, admission to MBA programme will be based on Extempore, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Class X and XII marks and CAT 2018 scores. The following weight-system will be applied:

Note: An additional 3% of the maximum aggregate marks may be awarded to the women candidates who appear for the interview. 

For MBA Executive (Evening)

  • Shortlisting of the candidates is based on their application, which will then be followed by a WAT and PI
  • The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates on these along with the candidate’s quality of work experience.

 Eligibility:

  • Candidates applying for admission to the Two Year Full-Time MBA in FMS must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline after 12 years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks
  • SC/ST: Passing marks; OBC/PWD/CW: 45% or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor’s Degree may also apply.
