Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts a National Entrance Test (NET) exam known as TISSNET. The exam is conducted for Masters programmes offered in TISS campuses. It is important to note that TISS does not offer any MBA Programme. It offers MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme at its Mumbai campus.
Many people argue that the HRM & LR programme offered by TISS is at par with the PGD PM & IR programme offered by XLRI. These two are definitely the top two programs in the area of Human Resources Management in India.
TISS has been in news for its social audit of Children Shelter in Muzaffarpur (Bihar) which brought the skeletons out of the cupboard.
