First of all congratulation to you and your family.You have always been a true campainer for girl's education, empowerment and prosperity and it was glad to know that you enquired me about Sukanya Samriddhi yojana.
Sukanya Samriddhi yojana is programme by Government of India targeted for parents of girl children. It was launched by our Prime minister "Narendra Modi" as a part of "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign".The account can be openned any time fro child birth till she attain age of 10. The scheme currently provides interest rate of 8.5% from 1st of october 2018 earlier it was 8.1%. It can be oppened at any Post office or any authorised branch of commercial bank.You have to deposit minimum 250 rupees to open an account earlier it was 1000 rupees. Deposit in account can be made upto 14 year from date of opening after this period it will only be applicable for rate of interest. The account attains maturity 21years of opening account.
