We are always advised to attempt more and more test in order to succeed but the question is how "attempting tests"helps IN scoring better?

attempting more and more tests means attempting more and more questions which is in itself a kind of practice.
2. AVOIDING MISTAKES
" we learn from mistakes" goes the saying. So, never hesitate in attempting more and more tests and doing mistakes in them because it will automatically help you to avoid the same mistakes (which otherwise you would have done ) in the main examination .
3. INCREASES SPEED -
to prove this point let's take an example. Do you run ? Obviously yes ! Isn't it ?And now just ask your friend to do a race with you. You will observe that your speed in the race is much more than your normal speed of running. Can you guess , why? Because there was a time limit in the race and also the competition which forced you to go out of your comfort zone and run fast. The same happens with attempting tests with time limits. In pre level of bank exams , the number of questions are more as compared to time. and therefore the main strategy for pre-examination is to attempt more and more number of questions with accuracy .this is where test plays a very important role. you learn from test which question you should attempt first and which question later on ( if the time is left). in this way you pay special consideration to those questions first which are your strong points.

suppose that you have practiced a chapter for three or four times but still when you will give test of the same chapter you will find out that there are still so many areas in the same chapter that you are supposed to improve.
