Hi Gradians,

To help you get an idea of the strategies which successful candidates have followed over their preparation phase, we are publishing success stories. In this series, here we are with the success story of 'Lingaraju Yadav' who has cleared the IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2019 exam. Let us hear it from Lingaraju Yadav.

I am Lingaraju Yadav. I started my preparation from 2016 after completing my graduation in 2015 with Electrical Engineering. At that time I had two choices- either go for PSU exams (Gate) or go for other exams (Banks or SSC). I chose the Banking sector as it has more opportunity and transparency as compared to other exams. The other reason to choose banking exams was that the examination pattern of the banking exam is not that much vast than other exams.

Gradually, I got to know many things about banking exams from various websites. GK and Reasoning sections were my forte and I lagged in English. I joined coaching classes and started preparing for the exams. I appeared for SBI and IBPS 2016 exams but in my first attempt, I didn't clear even a single exam at that time. But I believe that experience starts with Failure.

Every failure gave me more confidence to crack the next exam and then the journey started…

Then I started preparation on my own and started analyzing the mistakes I was committing in every exam, where I have to cover, which subjects I have to target, from where I have to read, etc.

In 2016, I appeared for so many exams.
I cleared only SBI clerk prelims and I didn't clerk any exam prelims.

In 2017 I cleared the prelims exam but did not clear the Mains of any exam.

In 2018 also, the situation was the same.

In 2019, I appeared in many exams, and I cleared all prelims and Mains of these exams.

During these 4 years, I appeared for around 60 banking and insurance exams. Out of which I cleared 40 prelims cleared but could not clear the Mains. I missed just by a margin of 0.25 or 0.75 or 1 mark. I missed Syndicate bank's PGDF exam by 0.75, Canara Bank's by 1, Bank of Baroda's by 1.25, and IDBI by 0.25 marks.

Finally, my hard work and perseverance paid off and I cleared  IBPS RRB  Office Assistant 2019. This is the first banking exam which I cleared.

It was a great journey and in the end, I got it.

I thank each & every person in my life for always motivating me and help me at all odds.

I especially want to thank BYJU'S Exam Prep Team! This platform is a very good platform for the preparation of competitive exams and here we can even share our knowledge with our peers. I not only took help from the BYJU'S Exam Prep Gurus but also posted daily quizzes, which strengthened my GK.

Lastly, Never Believe in luck, I believe in my work…. As nothing is Impossible.

Waiting for the results of results FCI and LIC ASSISTANT.

Thank You so much for reading my success story!
