Hi Aspirants,

Hope everyone is doing well and utilizing this lockdown period efficiently.

Regenerative Technology in medicine can be defined as the process of replacing or regenerating human or animal cells or tissue to restore or establish normal function. The same Regeneration word can be used as Regenerative Braking in which the battery of the car is charged by the conversion of braking energy.

Hi Aspirants,

Regenerative Technology in medicine can be defined as the process of replacing or regenerating human or animal cells or tissue to restore or establish normal function. The same Regeneration word can be used as Regenerative Braking in which the battery of the car is charged by the conversion of braking energy.

In regenerative medicine, there is a possibility of growing tissues and organs in the laboratory and implanting them into human/animals bodies. The regenerative medicine term was first coined by Leland Kaiser in 1992.

The various technologies include cell therapies, gene therapies, gene-based medicine, genome editing, tissue-engineered products and biomaterials.

Although regenerative medicines do not have a good track record of success and more complex diseases like heart infarct, diabetes, polio etc will require more advancement of technologies and advanced approaches to what is available today.

In normal vehicles, when we apply brakes then the heat energy generated during braking and stopping a vehicle is usually dissipated into the environment in the form of heat but in Regenerative Vehicles, this energy is not wasted and is utilised for charging batteries and reducing overall power consumption.

Various researchers have carried out experiments on this and found out that there was around 10% energy efficiency improvement and also the driving range of that vehicles has been increased drastically.

In further proceedings, the evaluation method of regenerative method has contributed significantly for hybrid, fuel cell etc other types of vehicles.
