The Supreme Court puts hold on the vacancy of UP Assistant Teacher out of 69000, 37339 is being put on hold. The Supreme court on the last hearing asked the Uttar Pradesh government to give data of how many candidates passed under the General and Reserved Category as per the cut-off fix by the esteemed authority. Due to the objection raised by the Shiksha Mitras the Supreme court has decided not to fill the 37339 vacancies out of a total of 69000 seats.

As teachers informed that 45,357 candidates had filled the written form, out of which 8018 candidates passed with 60-65 but there is no data on how many candidates passed at the 40–45 cutoff. Hence the Supreme court has ordered the Uttar Pradesh government that the 37339 vacancies of Shiksha Mitras remain vacant and the rest of the vacancies will be filled.

Earlier, The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court has issued a notice for the ongoing recruitment process of Online Classroom Program TET 2019. The High Court had issued a stay on 69000 UP Assistant teacher vacancies. The petitioners had challenged the authenticity of some questions in the declared results of UP assistant teachers.

The UP Assistant Teacher exam notification was released in December 2018 and the examination was conducted on January 6, 2019. After a delay of almost a year, the UP Assistant Teacher 2019 result was declared after the final verdict by the high court on 6th May 2020. Now the High Court has stopped the recruitment process and the next hearing will be on 12 July.

The final merit list of the selected candidates for the 69000 posts of assistant teachers was released. Candidates can see the complete list by visiting the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. The selected candidates have been allotted the district. Details in this regard are available on the website.
