IBPS RRB 2020 Exam Center Guidelines: Social Distancing Norms to be Followed

IBPS RRB 2020 official Notification has been released recently, IBPS has released this notification for the post of IBPS RRB Office Assistant, IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1, 2 & 3 totalling to 10477 vacancies. Due to the present scenario, IBPS has released new exam centre rules for IBPS RRB Exam 2020. These new guidelines are there to conduct the exam safely for all the aspirants.

In this article, we will be discussing the new guidelines for the IBPS RRB Office Assistant and Officer Scale-1 exam 2020. IBPS issued this guideline to maintain the social distancing during the actual exam, to prevent crowding at the centres and to minimize the contact between students to prevent the spread of disease. 
 

We have segregated these rules into groups for better understanding. Now, Let's discuss these new guidelines in detail:

New Exam Centre Rules for IBPS RRB 2020 Exam:

Rules regarding the Timings of the RRB Exam:

  • This time entry into the exam venue will be strictly given according to the individual's time slot only. This is done in an effort to avoid the crowding at the centre. 
  • Candidates are required to report at the exam centre according to the time slot that has been mentioned in their admit card OR/AND informed via SMS/Mail on their registered mobile number/mail prior to the exam date.
  • Aspirants participating in the exams should report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time indicated on the Call Letter.
  • This time there will be no mapping of  ‘Candidate Roll Number and the Lab Number’, i.e., These details will not be displayed outside the exam venue. 
  • Roll Number and the Lab Number will be intimated to the candidates individually at the time of the entry of the candidate to the exam venue and post their Admit Card/ Call Letter and ID verification. 

Allowed Items inside the Exam Centre:

The following list of items are permitted to be carried by the candidate inside the exam centre:

Mask -- Wearing a Mask is Mandatory. 

Gloves

Transparent drinking water bottle 

Personal hand sanitizer - 50 ml

A simple pen

Exam related Documents: Call Letter/Admit Card, Original ID Card & Photocopy of ID Card

Other Important Guidelines for IBPS RRB Exam:

Social Distancing Rules:
  • Candidates are requested to not share any of their personal belonging/material with anyone.
  • A safe social distance needs to be maintained by the candidates with one another.
  • Candidate should stand in the row as per the instructions provided at the venue of the examination.
Rules for Availing a Scribe:
  • If a candidate is availing the service of a scribe, then scribe is required to bring their own Gloves, N95 Mask, sanitizer (50ml) and transparent water bottle.
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory for both candidate and scribe.
  • Both the candidate and their Scribe will require to be wearing N95 Mask.

Use of Aarogya Setu App:

  • Aarogya Setu App must be installed on the candidate's mobile phone and it should show the candidate's risk factor.
  • A signed declaration needs to presented by those candidates who do not possess a smartphone.  
  • This declaration form is given in Annexure- IV of official notification.
  • If the Aarogya Setu app of any candidate shows Moderate or High-Risk Status, they will not be allowed to enter the centre. After showing the status of Aarogya Setu app you need to switch off your phone and deposit it at the designated location at the centre. 

Hand Written Declaration:

  • During the IBSP RRB PO exam aspirants are required to write the declaration on the admit card in the running handwriting before the candidate can begin the exam. 
  • After completing the login process the candidates are redirected to the screen where the declaration is written on the computer. Candidates are given 5 minutes to write the declaration on the admit card. 
  • This process has been put in place to replace the physical thumbprint process due to the ongoing pandemic.

Temperature Check:
  • Candidates are required to undergo a temperature check at the entry point of the exam centre.
  • Staff stationed at exam centres will check candidates temperature with Thermo Guns.
  • Candidates with more than 99.14 degrees F temperature will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
