SSC CPO Exam Analysis 2020 Shift 1 (23 November 2020): In this article, we will share the in-depth analysis of the SSC CPO Exam which was conducted in the 1st shift of 23rd November 2020. The analysis will help you understand the difficulty level of the shift, type of questions asked, topic-wise marks weightage, and the number of good attempts.

As you know, the SSC board conducts the SSC CPO Exam to recruit candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector in various departments such as Delhi Police, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, etc. The SSC CPO Paper 1/ Tier 1 exam comprises 4 sections including Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The maximum marks for Paper 1 is 200, and the candidate gets 1 mark for each correct answer and negative 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. As per most of the candidates who appeared in the SSC CPO Exam conducted on November 23, 2020, the difficulty level was  Moderate. We have gathered some important exam feedbacks as stated by the candidates:

  • There is no change in the question-type as compared to the last year question papers
  • The order of the sections was General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language
  • In the English section, no questions were asked from Active & Passive and Indirect & Direct speech topic
  • The difficulty level of Reading Comprehension topic was easy
  • The theme of the cloze test was related to the zoo
  • Overall, the English section was Easy-Moderate
  • Reasoning section was trickier this time compared to the last year paper, however, if the candidate had practiced enough, he/ she could score better
  • Circular seating arrangement was asked which was a bit difficult for the candidates
  • The difficulty level of Reasoning section was Moderate
  • Maths questions were a little bit tricky and calculative with questions from topics such as Pie-chart and Bar graph (Histogram)
  • Also, Arithmetic questions were a little bit tough this time and Algebra questions were formula and property based
  • Overall, the Maths section difficulty level was Moderate
  • For General Awareness, most of the questions were from the static part
  • The difficulty level of the General Awareness section was moderate and the current affairs were based on the last 8 to 9 months (From January 2020). Therefore, candidates who are going to appear in the upcoming shifts must revise the last 9 months current affairs along with the important topics
  • Considering everything, the overall difficulty level of the Paper 1 Exam Analysis 23rd November (1st Shift) was Moderate, therefore, chances of marks increasing in this shift are high after normalization

SSC CPO 2020 Paper 1 Exam Analysis 23rd November: Exam Centre Guidelines

Here a few guidelines which the candidate must follow at the time of giving the SSC CPO Paper 1 exam:

  • Candidates are required to wear a mask during the examination
  • Candidates can carry their own transparent water bottle, personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), gloves & a simple pen inside the exam centre
  • Candidates should have installed Aarogya Setu app on their smartphone and the app must show their risk profile for COVID-19
  • The registration of the candidate will be done with photo capture; therefore, candidates have to remove their mask only at that moment
