UPTET Exam Pattern 2021: Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will release the UPTET 2021 notification soon. Every year UPTET is conducted to facilitate candidates with the eligibility certificate required to become a teacher in the state government and private schools. For a better understanding of the exam, it is important to know all about the UPTET 2021 exam pattern. The UPTET exam pattern will give the understanding of the total number of the questions asked and the marks allotted for each section.

First, let's understand the overview of the examination:

 UPTET 2021 Exam Pattern Overview

  • The exams will be conducted in two shifts:
  • In the morning shift, the test for UPTET paper-1 will be conducted 
  • In the evening shift, UPTET paper-2 will be conducted both for science & maths/Social science applicants.
  • The time duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • It is an offline pen-paper based exam.
  • A total of 150 questions are asked and every question is of 1 mark in both paper-I and paper-II
  • There is no negative marking in the exam.

  • Mathematics and Science paper for Maths and Science teachers (Science Background students)
  • Social Science for Social Science teachers (Art Background students).
  • Candidates will not be able to choose the same language for both language-I and language-II

UPTET Selection Process 2021:

As the name states UPTET is a Teacher Eligibility Test for the state vacancies that will be released in the government schools of Uttar Pradesh. The candidates who qualify for the exam will be given the eligibility certificate and it will allow them to apply for the vacancies that are released by the state. Hence the selection process doesn't exist for such exams. Every candidate who qualifies for the minimum cut-off required is considered eligible to teach in the Up government schools. A written exam of 150 marks with a cut-off of 60% is set for the candidates. However, the cut-off differed for candidates belonging to reserved categories. 

UPTET 2021 Cut-off

The cut-off is predicted and is released in the official notification. The minimum passing percentage is different for both the general category candidates and those who belong to the reserved category. Let's have a look at it.
