OTET 2021 : Exam Pattern, Check Here

OTET stands for Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET). Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) to recruit the candidates for the appointment of teacher for Classes I to VIII in a government, and private school of Odisha.

OTET consists of two paper i.e. Paper I and Paper-II.

  • Paper-I is for the recruitment of candidates in class I to V.
  • Paper-II is for the recruitment of candidates in class VI to VIII.
  • The duration of the OTET exam paper shall be two hours & thirty minutes. 

OTET Paper - I & II Details:-

1. Questions will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with four options each.
2. Each question will be one mark. 
3. OTET consist of two paper viz- Paper-I and Paper-II.
4. Duration of the OTET will be of 2½ hours.
5. There shall be no negative marking.

Exam Pattern of Paper I:

Paper, I consist of five subjects i.e. Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Odia/ Urdu/ Hindi/ Telugu/ Bengali, Language-II (English), Mathematics and Environment Studies. Paper-I is of 150 marks and includes 150 questions.
