However, for shift 2, the overall difficulty was Moderate.

Overview of CMAT 2021 Exam (Shift 1 and Shift 2)

  • CMAT 2021 was conducted on 31st March 2021 in two shifts - Morning shift (9 AM to 12/12:30 PM) and Evening shift (3 PM to 6/6:30 PM)
  • There was a total of 100 (+25 optional) MCQs
  • For each correct response, +4 is rewarded and for each incorrect, -1 is be deducted (for QT-DI, GA, LR, LC and I&E sections)
  • There are no negative marks for any un-attempted questions
  • Each of the 100 (+25 optional) MCQs will consist of 4 choices out of which there is only 1 correct choice

Important Highlights of CMAT 2021 Exam

Highlights for Shift 1 of CMAT 2021 exam

  • Comparatively easier section - Logical Reasoning (LR)
  • Comparatively tougher section - Quantitative Tech & DI and Language Comprehension were tougher than previous years'
  • Overall difficulty level - Tougher than Previous Year

CMAT Paper Analysis 2021: Difficulty Level

CMAT 2021 Shift 1 Difficulty Level

While doing the CMAT Exam Analysis 2021, we found that the difficulty level of the exam was of Tough Level. Questions from the Logical Reasoning (LR) section were found to be the slightly easier amongst all the sections and Quant-DI and Language Comprehension sections were quite tough as compared to previous years.

  • According to our survey, almost 45-50% of the candidates found Quant-DI and Language Comprehension sections to be the toughest amongst all the five sections
  • The candidates also said that the overall difficulty level of the paper was Tougher. Also, a lot of questions in QT-DI section were from Algebra, Arithmetic and Number System.

CMAT 2021 Shift 2 Difficulty Level

While doing the CMAT Exam Analysis 2021 for Shift 2, we found that the difficulty level of the exam was of Moderate Difficulty level. Questions from the Logical reasoning and Language Comprehension sections were found to be the slightly easier amongst all the sections and General Awareness section were quite tough.

  • According to our survey, almost 45-50% of the candidates found General Awareness section to be the toughest amongst all the five sections
  • The candidates also said that the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Section was of Moderate difficulty level and it also consisted questions GK.
  • Also, our faculties found approximately 6 errors in the questions and their options.

CMAT Exam Analysis 2021: Good Attempts/Score

CMAT 2021 Shift 1 Good Attempts/Score

According to the CMAT exam analysis 2021, a score of 300-320 out of 400 OR 360-380 out of 500 will be a good score to fetch 99+%ile and will allow candidates to get admissions to the top colleges accepting admissions through CMAT score.

According to the CMAT exam analysis 2021, a score of 290-310 out of 400 OR 350-370 out of 500 will be a good score to fetch 99+%ile and will allow candidates to get admissions to the top colleges accepting admissions through CMAT score.

CMAT Expected Cut Off 2021

The CMAT 2021 expected raw scores to fetch 99%ile for CMAT 2021 is 290-310 out of 400 OR 350-370 out of 500 for the General category.

  • For the Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation (QT & DI) section, the sectional cut off could be anywhere between 68-72 to fetch good score
  • For the Logical Reasoning (LR) section, the sectional cut off could be anywhere between 80-84 to fetch good score
  • For the Language Comprehension (LC) section, the section cut off could be anywhere between 76-80 to fetch good score
  • For the General Awareness (GA) section, the section cut off could be anywhere between 60-64 to fetch good score
  • And for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) section, the section cut off could be anywhere between 60-64 to fetch good score
