CAT 2021: Tips To Remain Stress Free

By Aditi Joshi|Updated : November 20th, 2021

No matter how easy-going we may be, but life can get stressful. For those preparing for CAT and other MBA exams, stress may silently creep in just before the exams and may mess our entire preparations. It is necessary that we keep a check on it. The best way to keep it at bay is to get ourselves busy with our preparation and direct our energies into something positive. Aspirants should not give in to anxiety but rather look in for ways to remain motivated. BYJU'S exam Prep has brought an article on ways for motivation for CAT students.

Steps to stay calm while preparing for CAT exam

Let us discuss some tips for relieving our stress:

  1. Study As Much As You Can: It has often been found that since our preparation is not up to the mark, we tend to get stressed during our exams. So instead of wasting time thinking negatively about a future situation, it is important that we utilise our time in our preparation as this would also help us fare well in the exams.
  2. Manage Time: Time management is an art. To avoid stress, we need to master the art of time management. Have a proper timetable, and take proper breaks during your studies. Have your time managed between your studies and your leisure time. It will keep you motivated.
  3. Develop Optimism: This is a prerequisite to avoid stress. Instead of imagining the worst scenario for your life, imagine the best scenario and then work on it. The more positive thoughts you will have, the same positivity you will find around yourself. Positive thoughts are going to boost your preparation. Positive thoughts generate positive feelings and attract positive life experiences.
  4. Spend Time with Family:  A cup of coffee with friends and family can reduce your stress levels.  Share your fears with your family. Spend some time with your friends and family, you will feel refreshed.
  5. Exercise: Exercise can release tension and the less tension you have the better it is for your preparation. Take out at least half an hour for exercise.

As Hans Selye quotes “Adopting the right attitude can convert a negative stress into a positive stress.”  So, prepare well for your exams and keep stress at bay. All the best.
