CTET 2023 Study Plan with Timetable: Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET is conducted for different levels Paper-1 is for primary and level and Paper-2 is for secondary level aspirants. A total of 5 subjects are there on paper 1 and 4-5 on paper 2 depending on the subject background. These many subjects require equal allotted time according to the calibre of the candidate. We are sharing the best tips to come up with your own CTET timetable for exam preparation. 1. Start with Analyzing CTET Exam Pattern:

  • In the CTET, there will be 150 questions asked carrying a total of 150 marks and the time allotted will be 150 minutes.
  • It will be conducted through Online Mode.
  • The question paper will consist of objective-type questions & there will be 5 sections and each section will have 30 questions.
  • There will be no negative marking in the CTET exam.

Note: Mathematics and Science for Maths and Science teachers (Science Background students). Social Science is for Social Science teachers (Arts Background students).

2. Note Down the CTET Syllabus:

  • CTET Syllabus is different for Paper – I & Paper – II, During your preparation, try to cover the Complete CTET syllabus.
  • CTET Paper-I includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-1,language-2, Environmental Studies, and Mathematics.
  • CTET Paper-II includes Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-1,language-2, Social Studies or Mathematics & Science.
  • The question paper will be Bilingual (Hindi/English).
  • 20 Language options are available on the CTET notification, Candidate can choose only two languages from the given 20 languages.
  • There are various subjects included in the syllabus, you must make a particular study plan to prepare every topic of the syllabus perfectly.

How to Make Timetable for CTET Preparation?

This is only possible if you follow the study plan mentioned above or make a customized study plan base on your strong and weak subjects. We would like to help you out with the planning. Follow these steps

Count the hours you are willing to give to your studies

  • Advised 4 to 5 hours every day.
  • This can vary depending on the circumstances in your surrounding but try to keep steady hours every day.
  • If you are contributing less today, make up for it tomorrow and study an hour extra.

Divide that time into shifts

  • morning and evening or Early Mornings and late afternoon
  • Figure out which subjects you want to study in the morning
  • It is advisable to choose a subject that includes calculations so that you kick-start your brain.

Try to Keep a Balance

  • Equally, divide the time between the subjects you are confident in and the subject that need more practice

Always Keep a tab on the progress

  • Keep checking the amount of syllabus you are covering in due time and figure out if you are on track. 
  • Keep a sheet where you tick the topics you have finished. 

Always have small breaks between two sittings

  • Enjoy some soft music
  • Get out of the room and have something to eat
  • If there are kids in the house play with them, as their positive energy and laughter will boost your spirit

Balance the time between study and relaxation

  • Play games, and help with household chores.

  • Be punctual about the times when you are studying.

Add revision hours to the timetable

  • After the completion of the whole syllabus, try to revise all the important topics every week.
  • Try to memorize the concept, important theories, and formulas during the revision.
  • Don’t just cram, learn the question try, and understand the basic concept of the question.

Solve Mock Tests regularly to test your preparation

  • When you have more free time, try to sit for one mock test with a timer set. This will help you get used to the exam hall pressure.
  • Regularly attempting CTET mock tests is vital to score good marks in the real exam.
  • You can analyze the section-wise score and improve your preparation rate.
  • Based on the mock test, you can manage time effectively and efficiently.

You are aiming for 90 marks as Qualifying Marks

  • Try to attempt all 150 questions because there is no negative marking in the CTET exam.
  • For the general category, you need to score 90 out of 150 marks to qualify for the CTET exam.
  • There is no sectional test cutoff so don’t be afraid of any subject.

Make a habit to prepare short notes

  • Once you start your preparation, try to prepare short notes on the topics.
  • These short notes will help you to revise the entire syllabus at the last moment before the exam.
  • Highlight the important points in your short notes which will be beneficial during the revision period.

Learn the basic concept and practise quizzes

  • Initially, focus on the basic concepts of each topic, especially in child development & pedagogy.
  • Try to solve the quizzes of each subject regularly and improve accuracy as well as performance in each test.

Focus on your weak area of study

  • Identify the area in which you are weak and have a scope for improvement.
  • Try to read & learn all the basic concepts and start practising in your weak areas.
  • For the strong areas, you don’t need to focus on the basic concepts rather practice more and more questions from those topics.
  • Practice CTET’s previous year’s question paper to understand your weak points.
