DSSSB Teacher Selection Process and Job Profile: DSSSB stands for Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board and is responsible for the recruitment of teachers in the school of Delhi. The DSSSB vacancies for PRT, TGT, and PGT are released and the eligible candidates will be looking for the selection process and the job profile of DSSSB Teacher.

DSSSB Selection Process 2023:

The Selection Process of PRT & TGT teachers in Government School via DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board)consists of the following steps:-

1. Filling of Online Application

2. Appearing in the exam

3. Getting listed in the Merit List

4. Appearing for Documentation & Verification

5. Getting posting at School Allocated

6. Joining the School on a prescribed date

(A) Mode of the Examination

The DSSSB exam for Nursery Teachers, TGT & PRT comprises the one-tier exam. The exam is online in nature and consists of 200 questions with a maximum mark of 200.

(B) Examination Pattern:

The test will consist of objective-type questions. It will comprise of two parts: Part A (consisting of GK & GA, Reasoning ability, numerical ability, English & Hindi Language) & Part B (for the subject concerned). The description of both papers has been given in the table below:

Examination Pattern for PGT Post:

 The exam will be held in online mode and consists of 300 questions with a maximum mark of 300.

1. Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from any recognized University.

2. Degree / Diploma in training /Education.

3 years experience of teaching in a college /Higher Secondary School/ High School in the subject concerned.

  • Relaxation in upper age as a one-time measure up to the actual time spent as a contractual employee of the same department,

Teaching in University05 years of age relaxation to “those who are Teaching in University” may be given which is at par with the age relaxation given to Govt.
Servant for posts.

(C) Merit List:

After evaluating the performance of the candidates in the DSSSB online examination (Tier-One), the merit list is published. Candidates must score well in this round to be eligible for further consideration. 

(D) Document Verification:

The final round of the DSSSB Teacher recruitment is the document verification process. Candidates must be present on the due date and produce the prescribed documents as asked. In case they fail to produce the same, it might lead to the rejection of their candidature. 

The main documents required for the said round is,

  1. DSSSB Teacher Admit Card
  2. The hard copy of the Online Form
  3. Aadhar Card or any other identity proof
  4. DSSSB Teacher Qualifying Marks
