Important Tips for Effective Study from Home During Pandemic Outbreak

Here are some experts tips to keep yourself disciplined towards study in this pandemic outbreak:

Make a Study Schedule

Creating a study schedule is necessary as it will split your studying into bite-sized chunks and outline what you have to cover every day. Study schedules help you to set milestones and motivate you to achieve one after the other.
A proper study schedule makes you more organized and gives you a greater understanding of the part of the syllabus which you have covered and the part of the syllabus which needs to be covered.
Eventually, study through a proper schedule makes you less anxious and reduces the stress level.

Do a Task-based Study instead of a Time-based Study

Most of the candidates think that studying for 5 to 6 hours is enough for clearing the SSC or Railway Exam which is completely incorrect. This is where the task-based study comes into play, a task-based study means that you study till you complete the chapter/ task, and not on the basis of the time that you have given. On a task-based study, you focus more on the result, not on the time which is needed for a competitive exam like SSC or Railway.

Keep Away Distractions

If you want your study to be effective then you have to keep away all the elements that distract you such as social media (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.), unnecessary notifications, mobile games, etc. All these elements are designed to engage and consume users’ time and make money in the process which ultimately leads to a great loss for the users which most of them don’t realize.

These Days, even YouTube has also become a distracting element as you go to the site/ app to find a useful video that is relevant to your studies and end up watching a funny or entertainment video which ultimately ruins your study mood.
To prevent yourself from getting distracted and lost in the YouTube space, you can use the BYJU’S Exam Prep App (which is completely study focused) where you will find all the study material such as live lectures, notes, motivational articles, daily quizzes, mock tests, and you can also resolve your doubts by your peers and experts.

Make a Dedicated Study Space

A study space is that specific area in your room which your brain associates with learning. A dedicated study space considerably helps as your brain quickly gets into the ‘learn mode’ and ultimately makes the learning process faster. Ultimately, a study space reduces the effort to concentrate on studies be it an online or offline study.

Take Fun Breaks

Taking breaks is also necessary as it helps your mind to rejuvenate and keep you focused. Regular short breaks refresh your mind and enhance creativity as well as helps you maintain attention and regain your motivation.

After your 30 to 40 minutes of a study session, you can take a small break where you can stretch a bit or walk around your home, fill your water bottle, eat a small snack or pop into your family members. However, in these small breaks avoid watching TV, having a big meal or doing a task that consumes a lot of time.
