Time and Work
This is a very important chapter. Question of this topic is asked in all aptitude exams.
If you know the basic correlation between time, work, and efficiency.
The analogy between problems on time and work to time, distance, and speed:
Speed is equivalent to Efficiency (the rate at which work is done)
Distance traveled is equivalent to work done.
Time to travel distance is equivalent to time to do work.
Efficiency × Time = Work
Questions of Time and Work chapter are based on the following types of efficiencies
- Efficiencies of all persons are the same.
- Efficiencies of each type (group) of all persons are the same.
- Efficiencies of all persons are different.
In this type, the efficiency of different persons is different. Questions of this type can be solved by 2 different approaches.
