How to Apply for CIL Recruitment through GATE
Applicants willing to apply for Coal India through the GATE exam must know about the application method. They can apply by following these actions, which are given below:
- Go to the official website of Coal India and click on Apply Online button.
- Read the essential instructions and click on the ‘I Agree’ button.
- Register by filling up the details like discipline opt, name, category, contact, etc. and click on submit button.
- You will get a user ID & password on your mobile no. and email id.
- Re-login through email, fill out the application form and upload a scanned copy of the photograph and signature.
- Proceed for payment through debit card/net banking and take a printout for future reference.
Coal India Recruitment Exam Pattern
The written test contains two papers, i.e. Paper-I & Paper-II. It consists of 100 questions, and candidates require to solve the paper in three hours.
- Paper-I consists of General Knowledge, Reasoning, English and Numerical Ability.
- The discipline-related questions are asked in Paper-II.
- Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no fine for wrong answers.
- The paper is bilingual (English & Hindi)
Candidates will have to get a minimum of 40 marks on each paper (35 marks for the OBC category and 30 marks for the SC/ST category). They will be invited for personal interviews as per the merit in the ratio of 1:3.
Coal India Recruitment Selection Process
The selection of applicants is executed through a written test conducted by Coal India. Applicants with valid GATE scores will undergo a further process of selection process. The adequate candidates in the written test will be invited for a personal interview. The final merit list will be made on the performance of applicants in written tests and personal interviews. Candidature will be directed to verification of documents at the time of the interview.
Pay Scale
- The chosen candidates will be assigned as Management Trainee in E2 grade at the initial basic of Rs. 20,600 while the training period.
- On triumphant completion of training, candidates will be regularized in E3 grade at the primary basic of Rs. 24,900/- with probation for 1 year.
- Besides the basic pay, dearness allowances, HRA, medical treatment, pension, etc., will be permitted to the compensation per the company’s rules.
Service Bond
- The chosen candidates are expected to serve the company for a minimum period of 5 years.
- An amount of Rs. Five thousand will be subtracted from their salary for 5 years. The deducted amount will be returned with simple interest after the conclusion of 5 years of service.
- The candidate will be required to perform a bond of Rs. Three lacs for the same at the time of joining.
