Mirror Image
Case 1: When the mirror is placed at top of the image.
If the mirror is placed horizontally at MN, then the top and bottom part of the image will be changed, while the left and right side of the image remains the same.
The reflection of the image looks like,
Case 2: When the mirror is placed on the right-hand side of the image.
If the mirror is placed horizontally at MN, then the top and bottom part of the image remains the same, while the left and right side of the image will be interchanged in the mirror image.

Case 3: When the mirror is placed on the left-hand side of the image.
If the mirror is placed horizontally at MN, then the top and bottom part of the image remains the same, while the left and right side of the image will be interchanged in the mirror image.

Clock-based mirror image question:
If a clock seen through a mirror shows quarter past three. What is the correct time shown by the clock?
Quarter past three means the time showing in the mirror image of the clock is 3:15 and it looks like,

It is clear from Fig. (X) that, if seen through a mirror the time indicated by the clock is 3:15. When the mirror is placed vertically at AB, the mirror image i.e., Fig (Y) shows the actual time in the clock i.e., (8: 45).
Letter-based mirror image question:
If a mirror is placed on the line MN, then which of the answer figures is the right image of the given figure?
After observation the given question figure, Since, MN is the mirror line, then after reflection right portion of the question figure should be shown in the left side in the reflected image, similarly, left portion of the question figure should be shown in the right side in the reflected image.

Water image questions:
Water Images in non-verbal reasoning is the same as the Mirror Images method. basically, the Water image is just a reflection where the top and bottom parts of the images change where the left and right side of the image remains the same.
