CiSS Application

  • The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has launched a “CiSS Application” under Bal Swaraj Portal to help in the process of rehabilitation of children in road conditions.

key points:

  • This portal has been launched by NCPCR for CISSS, Bal Swaraj, online tracking, and digital real-time monitoring mechanisms of children in need of care and protection.
  • Bal Swaraj Portal has two major functions - COVID Care and CiSS
  • COVID Care Link serves children who have lost one or both of their parents to COVID-19 or other causes after March 2020.
  • CISS application is used to obtain data on children in road conditions from all states and union territories and track their rescue and rehabilitation process.
  • The CISSS initiative has been launched under the direction of the Supreme Court of India.

  • Indian Railways Innovation Policy - "Startup for Railways" was launched by Shri Ashwini Vaishnav.

  • Startup Policy for Railways aims at leveraging innovative technologies developed by Indian Startups/MSMEs/Innovators/Entrepreneurs to improve the operational efficiency and safety of Indian Railways.
  • The Startup Policy for Railways aims to bring scale and efficiency in the areas of operation, maintenance, and infrastructure creation through the participation of the very large and untapped startup ecosystem.
  • Around 160 problem statements have been received so far under Startup for Railways. Initially, 11 problem statements have been identified to tackle the problem through the new innovation policy, which has been uploaded on the portal.

  • The Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Mela was organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at more than 200 places across the country.

  • The Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Fair will be organized every month by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to provide more opportunities for on-field training to the youth and increase employment opportunities in the corporate world.
  • Under the Prime Minister's National Apprenticeship Fair, more than a thousand companies from more than 36 sectors participated and trainees were selected for imparting training in the company.
  • 5th to 12th class pass certificate holders, skill development certificate holders, ITI diploma holders, or graduate degree holders can appear for interviews for available opportunities under Prime Minister National Trainee Mela.
  • Under this scheme, candidates will also be given a certificate of apprenticeship recognized by the National Council of Vocational Education and Training on completion of the training period, so that apprentices can be recognized in industries.
