On Analyzing the data the following takeaways were observed:
- VARC in Slot 1 was the toughest and Slot 3 the easiest. Slot 1 VARC Scores will be scaled up and those of slot 3 will be scaled down. The difference between the 2 slots could be as high as 6 to 8 marks at the higher end (>35). Slot 2 was midway and will see a slight upward scale. Students who have scored above 25 in Slot 1 VARC will see the highest upward scaling and those who have scored below 25 in Slot 3 VARC will see the maximum downward scaling
- DILR was toughest in Slot 3, while Slot 2 was the easiest. The difference between Slots 3 and 2 could be close to 6 marks at the higher end (>30) . Slot 1 was mid way and will see a slight upward scale. Students scoring 25+ in Slot 3 will see maximum upward scaling and those scoring <16 in Slot 2 will see maximum downward scaling.
- QA was toughest in Slot 2 and easiest in Slot 1. The difference between these 2 slots will be about 4 marks at the higher end (>30) . Slot 3 was mid way and will see a slight upward scale. Students scoring 25+ in Slot 2 will see maximum upward scaling and those scoring <16 in Slot 1 will see maximum downward scaling.
Overall, VARC in Slot 3 was the easiest section across all 9 sections of the exam and that will lead to Slot 3 being scaled down the maximum, holistically, while VARC of Slot 1 and DILR of Slot 3 were the toughest. However, DILR of the other 2 slots were not as easy as VARC of Slot 3, thus the DILR upscaling of Slot 3 wont equalise the VARC downscaling of Slot 3.
