Interview for Communication and Networks
Questions asked :
1. Why I am interested in communications
2. Why I didn't join PSUs
3. Plans after
M.Tech4. Questions about my final year project.
5. Question about PID control algorithm because I use it in final year project.
6. Questions about modern control theory.
7. I was asked to explain about state space analysis in control system using any example.
8. A questions was asked "in the state equation Ẋ = AX what are the parameters of matrix A that will cause instability.
9. More conceptual question on control. Like without going through Laplace / frequency domain analysis, I was asked stability of some systems with different initial conditions.
This interview was not much about technical questions they asked, it was much about our interest in joining the course program. They just want to filter out those candidates which they thought may leave the M.Tech course midway.
Here is questions asked in Texas Instruments MS, Written Test.
This was one of the most interesting test I have ever given. Most of the questions were basically plotting equations and waveforms.

12 questions in total...
1. Plot e⁻²ᵗ - e⁻ᵗ
2. Plotting phase diagram of a transfer function (given in question).
3. A particular waveform was given and we were asked to draw its integral.
4. We were asked to draw Vo / Vi characteristics of a CMOS inverter with some particular input.
5. A capacitor-switch-battery circuit was given along with timing diagram of switches and we were asked to draw voltage waveform at a point in that circuit.
6. Question based on 5th question. Voltage was asked at another point, at a particular time.
7. Then there were questions, mostly containing MOSFETs and BJTs in same circuit. Mostly based on "current mirroring type action" of MOSFET.
